About the Project

Our goal is for participants to share their genuine experiences through their posts. Therefore, all costs are covered by the participating companies, so you can join with peace of mind. However, please note that if you participate in an experience but do not submit a post, you may be charged. Make sure to complete your post to fulfill the project requirements.

The following conditions must be met to participate:
・Must be 16 years of age or older (some projects may have additional age restrictions).
・Must reside in Japan.
・Must possess a valid work visa.
・Must have the designated social media accounts for each project.
Please note: Individuals with zero followers or private accounts are not eligible.
- QIs it okay if I have few followers?

Yes, that’s perfectly fine. Your mission is to actually use the product or service and then report your impressions by posting on a social media platform that the company can review.
- QHow do I participate in a project?

With YOLO DISCOVER, you will need to log into your account yourself and apply for your desired project. The secretariat cannot make project reservations on your behalf. Please follow the steps below to apply yourself: [Link to Project Participation Flow]
- QI’m not getting accepted. When will I be accepted?
- A
Companies will decide on acceptance or rejection within two weeks of your application. If the period between your application and the experience date is less than two weeks, you will be contacted by the day before the experience. You can check your application status on your My Page and via email.
- QWhat is a check-in code?
- A
It’s a 4-digit number you enter when you arrive at the location. Press “Check-in” for your active project and enter the 4-digit code provided by the staff at the location.
- QI forgot to enter the check-in code before leaving. What should I do?
- A
Use the message function to ask the company for the check-in code. Then, enter that code via the “Check-in” option in your active project.
- QCan I bring friends or acquaintances other than designated companions?
- A
This depends on the project, so please confirm with the company using the message function. Alternatively, anyone you bring along can also register as a YOLO DISCOVER member and participate that way.
- QI’m going to be late. What should I do?

Please contact the project’s person in charge via the message function within your active project. To send a message, follow these steps:
・Click My Page in the menu bar.
・Click Active Projects.
・Click “Send Message” for the relevant project.
- QI want to inquire about a project. How do I do that?

- QAre there any items I need to bring on the day of the project experience?

Please have your smartphone ready for check-in and for taking photos/videos of your experience. Depending on the project, other items may be necessary, so please reconfirm the project details before the day of the experience.
Regarding Applications
- QIs there a limit to how many times I can apply?

No, there isn’t. You can apply for as many projects as you like without any restrictions.
- QCan Japanese nationals apply using their passport for identity verification?
- A
We apologize, but you cannot register your passport as a form of identification. The following are acceptable forms of identification:
・For Japanese Nationals: Driver’s License
・For Foreign Nationals: Residence Card
- QIs it possible to change the date of a project I’ve applied for?
- A
Before Acceptance: Yes, you can. Please cancel your application from your “Application History” and reapply for a different date.
However, please note that you cannot reapply if your initial application was rejected.
After Acceptance: Unfortunately, no changes can be made after acceptance. If a date change is absolutely necessary, please contact the company directly using the message function.
- QCan I cancel a project I’ve applied for?

Before Acceptance: Yes, you can. Please click the cancel button in your Application History.
After Acceptance: No, you cannot. Please contact the company directly using the message function.
- QCan I reapply for a project that I was rejected from?
- A
We apologize, but you cannot reapply for a project once your application has been rejected.
- QWhat is the difference between “Canceled (User),” “Canceled (Company),” and “Canceled (Penalty)”?
- A
Canceled (User): This status indicates that a YOLO DISCOVER user voluntarily canceled their application from their Application History.
Canceled (Company): This status indicates that the project was canceled due to reasons on the company’s side (no penalty for the user).
Canceled (Penalty): This status indicates that the applied project was automatically canceled because the user accumulated two yellow cards (penalties).
Regarding Posts
- QCan I post from a private account?

No, this is prohibited. To allow companies to verify your posts, please ensure you post from a public account.
- QCan I post on a social media platform other than the one I registered?
- A
No, this is prohibited. Please post using the social media account you registered when you applied. If you wish to change the account you post from, please update your information in “Profile Management.”
- QCan I apply using a friend’s social media account?
- A
You must post within 7 days, including the experience date. If a completion report is not submitted within 7 days, it will result in a yellow card.
- QHow long do I need to keep my post online?
- A
Your post must remain online for 6 months from the date your completion report is approved. Please be aware that if you delete or archive your post within this period, your account may be subject to penalties, such as usage restrictions.
- QCan I revise my post content?
- A
Minor corrections like spelling errors or forgotten required hashtags are acceptable. However, significant changes to the content or adding irrelevant information unrelated to the experience are prohibited.
- QCan I post on Stories?
- A
No, this is prohibited. Your post must remain online for 6 months from the date it’s approved as a completion report. Stories disappear after a certain period, so they will not be considered a valid completion report.
- QCan I post on YouTube or a blog?
- A
Currently, only posts on Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram are accepted as valid completion reports. The eligible social media platforms vary by project, so please make sure to check the specific requirements for each project.
Completion Reports
- QBy when do I need to submit a completion report?
- A
Please post your content and submit the completion report within 7 days including the experience date.
- QWhat happens if I post within 7 days but forget to submit the completion report?
- A
You will receive a Yellow Card.
Without the completion report, the company cannot confirm your post, so make sure to submit it.
- QI submitted the report, but the status is still not “Completed.” Why?
- A
The status will be marked as “Completed” after the company reviews and approves your report.
They will decide within 7 days whether it needs to be corrected or can be approved.If the company requests a correction, please revise it and resubmit the report.
- QIf I receive a correction request, by when should I respond?
- A
You must respond within 7 days, including the date of the request.
If no correction is submitted within this period, you will receive a Yellow Card.
- QWhat is a “Paid Partnership” or “Branded Content” post?
- A
These are special types of posts required when using Instagram or TikTok.

About Yellow Cards
- QWhat is a yellow card?
- A
A yellow card is a penalty given when you fail to use the service appropriately, such as violating terms of service or not making a promised post. You’ll receive a yellow card for the following actions, and if you accumulate two, your ability to apply for projects will be suspended:
・Unauthorized cancellation
・Failure to submit a completion report within 7 days (including the experience date)
・Failure to submit a completion report within 7 days (including the revision request date)
- QHow can I remove a yellow card?

You can remove a yellow card by submitting a completion report for another project within 7 days, including the experience date.
- QWhat happens if I accumulate two yellow cards?
- A
If you get two yellow cards from two unauthorized cancellations, your ability to apply for projects will be immediately suspended. If you failed to submit a completion report, your application ability will be suspended if you don’t submit it within 7 days from the date the yellow card was issued. Additionally, if you accumulate two yellow cards, all projects you’ve applied for will be canceled. You won’t be able to reapply for these canceled projects. Projects you’ve already experienced will not be canceled, so be sure to post and submit your completion report for those.
